On 12 October 2002 in the popular and bustling tourist district of Kuta on the Indonesian island of Bali a series of terrorist bombs exploded. The attack killed 202 people (including 88 Australians, 38 Indonesians, 23 Britons, and people of more than 20 other nationalities). A further 209 people were injured.

The impact that this attack had on countless lives was devastating. One of the survivors, Antony Svilicich was buried alive under the ruins of the Sari Club.
